Among the statues on the Commonwealth Avenue Mall is the group honoring Mayor Patrick Collins, created by Theo Ruggles Kitson (1871-1932) and her husband, Henry Hudson Kitson.
Five statues on Commonwealth Avenue Mall were created by women sculptors, including works by Penelope Jencks, Anne Whitney, Yvette Companion, Theo Ruggles Kitson, and the Boston Women’s Memorial.
