Women’s Equality Day

August 26, 2024

Noon – 1:00pm

Public Garden Boston

Join the MA Women’s History Center, Greater Boston Section – National Council of Negro Women, Inc.League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, and the Boston Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement for our annual Women’s Equality Day event – Monday, Aug. 26, noon-1pm, at the Boston Public Garden near the Swan Boats to commemorate women voting, and in this election year, to remind everyone to VOTE! Free & open to the public!

This annual event recognizes the adoption of the 19th Amendment into the US Constitution, Aug. 26, 1920, and also acknowledges that other laws needed to be changed so that Black, Native American and Asian American women – and men – could vote.

Our theme this year is The Importance of Voting and Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
